Relax & Renew Yoga
This is a mixed level class focusing on alignment, balance, strength, flexibility, breath awareness and concludes with a short relaxation and meditation period.
This class is suitable for beginners or those in the retirement community. Learn the basic poses of Hatha Yoga, while using props to support the body allowing you to fully release into the postures for a relaxing and meditative practice.
HIIT Yoga Flow
This is a mixed level Flow (Vinyasa) class, a method of Yoga in which movements form a flowing sequence in coordination with the breath. This includes a short HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session to define, tighten, lift and sculpt your muscles. HIIT gets the heart rate up higher than Yoga can, in specific ways to optimize cardio, or how you intake and process oxygen. HIIT also can raise your metabolism up to 15% and burn calories and fat for 48 straight hours!
Explore Nanaimo’s beautiful trails on a Yoga hike! This combines trail walking and Yoga breaks to improve cardiovascular health while you experience the sights, sounds and scents of nature while focusing on cleansing breaths to clear your mind and release stress. A list of locations will be sent out prior to the first class. Dress for the weather, bring a backpack & water bottle. No Yoga mat required.
